Tennis Machine: Maria Sharapova Wins Australian Open

Maria Sharapova took her game to the next level. She wins her 3rd career major and now is just a French Open title from winning the career grand slam. In the process she sent a message to the rest of WTA, that they'll need to elevate their games.

In the Aussie Open's most glamorous final four ever, that we say will usher in a golden age for women's tennis, with the likes of Ivanovic, and Jankovic. She reminds everyone why she is the most recognized female athlete in the world.



On a surface that was tailor made for her game of deep shots and power serves, she put together what is probably her most impressive display of tennis ever. She looked like a machine on the court so focus, and intense. She now sits solely on top of the tennis world, looking like the dominate player she was destine to become.
